Craig Taylor is a proud Wiradjuri man whose career has been dedicated to improving outcomes for Aboriginal people through leadership, governance and community service. For more than 30 years, he has worked across Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and government agencies, helping translate policy, investment and partnerships into lasting benefits for communities.
As Deputy Chief Aboriginal Health Adviser with the Victorian Department of Health, Craig provides strategic leadership on Aboriginal health, cultural safety and self-determination. His work has focused on strengthening relationships between governments and Aboriginal communities while promoting approaches that deliver practical, community-led outcomes.
Craig has also made a significant contribution through governance. He has served on the Board of the Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service for more than two decades, including almost 20 years as Chair, supporting the organisation's growth into a strong multi-jurisdictional Aboriginal community-controlled health service. He continues to contribute through board appointments and leadership roles that support housing, health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Grounded in the Wiradjuri principle of Yindyamarra Winhanganha, Craig's leadership reflects respect, responsibility and service, creating positive change for Aboriginal communities across generations.
