                                                                  Bloom 2020 Creative Industries showcase

                                                                  BLOOM 2020 is the end of year festival for students studying the Creative Industries in the School of Communication and Creative Industries.

                                                                  This new initiative celebrates the most ambitious and exciting work produced by Creative Industries students of all disciplines throughout the year. The festival will include outcomes by actors, animators, artists, art historians, curators, designers, film makers, photographers, sound and television producers and theatre-makers.

                                                                  It is a multi-disciplinary festival showcasing the very best our school has to offer. Bloom launches at bloom.csu.edu.au on October 16th.

                                                                  LGBTIQA+ Awareness Training

                                                                  This session is 1.5 hours in length and will cover:

                                                                  • The importance of creating an inclusive culture within the workplace;
                                                                  • Some of the experiences of LGBTIQA+ people;
                                                                  • The differences and diversity of sex characteristics, gender identity, and expression and sexual orientation; and
                                                                  • Actions that individuals can take to be active allies.

                                                                  This training is open to everyone who would like more information and knowledge relating to sex and gender diversity.

                                                                   

                                                                  Empowering Allies Training

                                                                  1 Mar 2021 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

                                                                  This session is 1.5 hours in length and will cover:

                                                                  • The role of allies;
                                                                  • Ally actions;
                                                                  • The importance of visibility; and
                                                                  • How one might ‘call out’ problematic behaviours.

                                                                  This training is only open to those who have completed the LGBTIQA+ Awareness module, and who wish to join the Ally Network and be recognised as an Ally.  Once completed, participants will receive a pack with branded Ally paraphernalia, including an Ally lanyard, Ally lapel pin and Ally poster to ensure they are recognisable to others as Allies.

                                                                  Blended Online Community MHFA Workshop (2 days, 11 & 18 March)

                                                                  This workshop is held across two days. Attendance in both workshops is mandatory to receive certification

                                                                  Workshop Part 1 Thursday 11 March 10am-12:30pm 
                                                                  Workshop Part 2 Thursday 18 March, 10am-12:30pm

                                                                  You must have completed the eLearning through MHFA Australia in the Blended online Community MHFA course to complete this workshop.

                                                                  If you haven't completed the above, please contact mhfa@csu.edu.au to arrange eLearning. You MUST complete eLearning prior to our workshops. The eLearning takes around 5 hours to complete online.

                                                                  This workshop will cost $20.00. You must attend both sessions.
